New out of the Box-  I try to send a fax of 7 pages and I get this error:

The document feeder was not able to pick up the original.

Make sure the document feeder cover is closed completely. Load the original in the document feeder, and try again.

It sent 3 1/2 pages-  I have looked to see if there is anything in the ADF, looks clean, but something is not right.

Its all in the ADF as I can print from my PC,

This is a nice printer - I have had my 9025 for a while and in my experience  the printer is fairly tolerant of media.

That said, the paper does have to meet the specifications.

For example, the paper cannot be too thin, too thick, stuck together, curled - the usual "don't do this" type of restrictions...

For example, weights for plain paper

16 to 28 lb (plain paper)

If you have not done so, take another quick look all around to make sure you did not miss any tape, film on the glass (that might be used to protect the glass during shipment.  Printers are packed to withstand a lot of abuse; packing materials can be hiding in several places around and inside the printer.

You could try slowing down the fax speed - not sure whether this is the problem, but multi-page fax documents can be troublesome if everything is not "just right"
