I recently purchased a new HP laptop, i was able to export my setting/App for the printer/printing over to the new laptop but i cant get the scanner to work from the new laptop as the scanner app didnt export successfully and i can only scan from the App.

Is there a way to transfer the app so it will still work from the new laptop or is there a shortcut i can take to bypass the app 

Cant talk to anyone at HP support and the chat times out after a few minutes of activity even when they dont reply

Ive spent hours on this and still no result, i am still using old laptop for now but its old and very slow

  • Install the software on your new laptop following the on-screen instructions.

Using Windows Scan Features:

  • If you are using Windows 10 or later, you can utilize the built-in Windows Scan application.
  • You can download it from the Microsoft Store, search for "Windows Scan," and install it on your laptop.
  • Once installed, ensure your printer/scanner is connected to the computer and open the app to scan documents.

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Ensure that the printer/scanner is properly connected to your new laptop, either through USB or network.
  • Verify that the printer/scanner is listed in the "Printers & Scanners" section of the Windows Settings.

HP Smart App:

  • Download the HP Smart App from the Microsoft Store.
  • This application provides comprehensive features for printing and scanning documents and images.
