Hey, I'm helping a friend set up the scan to email feature on his HP OfficeJet 5745 e-All-In-One printer, and we accidentally added an email that doesn't exist. Even though no PIN was entered for it, it still shows up on the list of email addresses, and we can't remove it without another PIN code. Since it doesn't exist, though, we can't get the PIN to remove it! How can we delete this incorrect email?

Welcome to HP forums.

Change the outgoing E-mail profile in EWS page.

You need printer IP address to login to printer EWS page.

1. From the Home screen, touch (Wireless) and then touch (Settings).

2. Touch Print Reports. and then touch Display Network &onfiJurDtion or Print Wireless Test Report.

Open the embedded Web server

Locate the IP address in the wireless report and type it in the new browser tab.

  1. Click the System tab.

  2. On the left navigation pane, click the Administration link.

  3. In the Enabled Features area, set the Scan to Email option to On.

  4. Click the Scan tab.

  5. On the left navigation pane, click the Outgoing E-mail Profiles link.

  6. On the Outgoing E-mail Profiles page, click the New button.

  7. In the E-mail Address area, complete the following fields:

    1. In the Your E-mail Address field, enter the sender’s email address for the new outgoing email profile.

    2. In the Display Name field, enter the sender’s name. This is the name that will display on the printer control panel.

None of these options are present in the Web server for my friend's printer. Remember, it's an OfficeJet 5745 e-All-In-One. I'm attaching a screenshot of the main page.Screenshot.png

Click the Scan tab, then click Outgoing email profile and remove the email address that you don't want.

I hope that helps.
