HP Pavilion x360 - 13-s100na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A pop up window "scan to computer disconnected connection lost" keeps appearing and interupting my work.  I do not use scan to computer but cannot find a way to disable or remove it.

Forum information on how to do this relates to earlier operating systems and that guidance does not translate to Windows 10.

Hi John,

You can do this as follows.

Right click an empty area of the Taskbar and select Task Manager.

In the Task Manager window, click on 'More details' near the bottom left.

Select the Start-up tab, then left click the entry ScanToPCActivationApp just once to highlight it.

Click the 'Disable' button in the bottom right of the window.

Close Task Manager and then restart the notebook for this change to take effect.

Regards,

This App does not appear on my Taskbar Startup tab so I can't disable it. However I did find it in Processes and Ended the task.

-Will it re-start upon a system restart? How else can I get rid of it and yet still be able to occasionaly scan to my computer?

Most grateful,

Doug
