Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I recently aquired a Pagewide Entreprise Colour MFP 586 and have had trouble to scan anything.

It looks like the next step for me is to sign in EWS but it asks for a password that I do not have. Could someone please help me? It looks like this is a common situaion but that each printer has its own way.

I might also need help with the scan to network folder/scan to email/quick set.

Thank you!

Hello,

If the solution proposed by @GOLD_MASTER does not work, try the following solution.

Reactivate the option to restore the printer's factory settings as follows:

  1. On the front panel of the printer, click four times on the location of the Back arrow (the arrow being inactive).
  2. A hidden menu will appear, click Service menu.
  3. Scroll down to Enable/Disable Menu, and validate with OK.
  4. Scroll down to Unlock the option to reset to factory setting, and validate with OK.
  5. Now press the red cross repeatedly (4 or 5 times) until you return to the main menu.
Via the services, you should now be able to restore the printer's factory settings.

Then proceed as follows to restore the printer's factory settings:

WARNING: Restoring Defaults resets all network and product settings to their default values and also deletes the fax header name, phone number and any faxes stored in the product's memory. This procedure also deletes the fax directory and any pages that are stored in memory. The procedure then automatically restarts the product.

  1. Open the control panel dashboard (drag the top dashboard tab down from any screen, or tap the dashboard area on the home screen).
  2. On the control panel, touch Setup ().
  3. Touch Printer Maintenance, then Restore.
  4. Touch Restore default settings and touch Continue.
    The product restarts automatically.

Don't hesitate to contact us in case of need.

Best regards,
