Hi @microselva,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing scanning issues with your HP ScanJet Pro 3000 s3 Sheet-feed Scanner, there could be a variety of factors causing the problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Check Connections and Power:

  • Ensure that the scanner is properly connected to your computer using a USB cable or network connection.
  • Make sure the scanner is powered on and receiving power.

Software Issues:

  • Ensure that you have the appropriate scanning software installed on your computer. HP usually provides scanning software that is compatible with their scanners.
  • Check for any software updates for the scanner and the scanning application. Update them if necessary.

Driver Issues:

  • Make sure you have the latest drivers for your scanner installed on your computer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause scanning problems.
  • If you suspect driver issues, you can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.

Scanner Settings:

  • Double-check the scanning settings in the software you are using. Make sure you've selected the correct scanner as the scanning source.
  • Verify that the scanning resolution and other settings are appropriate for your needs.

Paper and Document Issues:

  • Ensure that the documents you're trying to scan are properly placed in the feeder. They should be aligned correctly and not creased or damaged.
  • Check for any foreign objects (dust, debris) inside the scanner that could be obstructing the paper path.

Clean the Scanner:

  • Dust and debris can accumulate on the scanner's rollers and sensors over time, affecting its performance. Use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean the scanner's feed rollers and scanning glass.

Test with Different Documents:

  • Try scanning different types of documents to see if the issue persists. Sometimes, the problem might be specific to certain paper types or sizes.

Restart and Reconnect:

  • Sometimes, simply restarting the scanner and your computer can help resolve minor connectivity issues.

Check for Error Messages:

  • If you're receiving any error messages during the scanning process, note them down. These messages can provide clues about what might be going wrong.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
