Hello everyone,

I hope you can help me with a problem I'm experiencing with my M283fdw scanner. I would like to scan documents directly to my email, but the SMTP server cannot be resolved (please see the attachment).

 

I am currently working with the Windows app password

 

Until recently, the settings worked perfectly, but unfortunately, I am no longer able to use them.

 Microsoft has changed security for email. App password is in the process of being deprecated which means it will no longer be supported. Until HP sorts out how to enable "0Auth" authentication on these devices you may be stuck with having to scan to a folder and then attached the document through your desktop mail client, or find an SMTP supplier who will support less secure authentication methods.
