HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I am trying to setup the Scan to email function for our printer.

At the setting for Email servers, I've created a profile for SMTP Server and at the Server Authentication I need to enter credentials with username and password.

Our username at the mailserver provider contains a division sign "/" so the profile will not be created correctly, because of Invalid Characters.

An example of a username that we would like to use: 12345/ABC

The printer is updated with latest firmware.

Is it possible for a workaround, because we can't change this format at the provider

@Mats-MI-VS, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Unfortunately, printers rarely support escaping special characters in usernames.

So something like URL encoding 12345%2FABC likely won’t work in the printer UI.

Most likely no direct way to input / in the username on the printer UI.

Your best option is asking your mail provider for alternate SMTP credentials or setting up an SMTP relay in your network.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Ok, I'll contact the mailserver provider with this information and see what they can do. Thanks for your help.
