I can send print jobs from the PC.
Problem:
I cannont use the scanner function. I cannot scan from the machine or initiate scan jobs from the Easy Print Manager.
I get the 'Not Available' message from the printer console display.
I get the following message from the Easy Print Manager,
"I/O error while communicating with the device. Please wait and try scanning again. If it does not help, please turn the device off, then switch it on and wait while it warms up."
The icons are greyed out.
I have the printer connected via a USB cable.
The last time it worked was when I was running Windows 7. The printer worked as intended back then.
I tried uninstalling and using the latest firmware and software updates but, this does not seem to have improved my situation.
Any help would be most appreciated. I am trying to create back ups of my teaching / performance management documentes.
I am currently using WINDOWS 10 (64 bit).
I would appreciate any advice from the HP support group, if there are any known issues with Windows 10 and the scanner funciton of this printer.
Best wishes,
