OfficeJet 8702
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is there a way to scan a multipage document, save it as a .tif file and have it save each page as a separate file with sequential numbers on the OfficeJet 8702 (or any 8700 series)?   I cannot find any setting that will accomplish this...

I used to do this with the HP OfficeJet Pro L7680 (GREAT printer) that recently bit the dust.

The only way I can seem to do this is to scan all pages, then mark all pages but one as Deleted and save the file; then mark that first page as Deleted and unmark the next page and save the file with a different number, then mark/unmark the next page and so on.... very cumbersome!... but so is scanning & saving each page separately...

I did and would use this feature a LOT.

Please, any help?

Thanks!

Jeff

Scanning issues…

Please try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options that available.  And there are a lot of them.

Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

NAPS2 also allows you to:

  1. Maximize and resize the scanning screen on your computer.
  2. Scan over 300 ppi/dpi from the Glass or ADF.
  3. Save multiple pages (over 300 ppi/dpi) to one PDF file.
  4. Provide scan resolutions of 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 600, 800, 1200 dpi.

Thanks! Downloaded HP Extended is very similar (if not identicle) to the software that came with the new printer. I did find the setting I was looking for by expanding all the + options as you suggested.

Works great!
