I have an HP Smart-tank 7602 printer. Using my computer, can I scan and then save the document on my computer?

Hi @jim69731,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Yes, you can scan documents using your HP Smart Tank 7602 printer and save them to your computer. Here’s how to do it.

Using HP Smart App:

  1. Install the HP Smart app on your computer if it isn’t installed already. You can download it from the HP website or from your computer's app store.
  2. Open the HP Smart app and sign in if prompted.
  3. Add your printer (if not already added) by clicking the "+" icon and selecting your HP Smart Tank 7602.
  4. Click on "Scan" in the app’s main window.
  5. Adjust your scan settings, such as document type, resolution, etc.
  6. Click "Scan" to begin scanning.
  7. Once the scan is complete, you’ll see a preview. From there, click "Save" to store the scanned document on your computer.
    • Choose the location, file name, and format (PDF, JPEG, etc.).

Using Windows Scan Tool (if not using HP Smart):

  1. Search for "Windows Scan" in the Start menu and open the app.
  2. Select your HP Smart Tank 7602 as the scanner.
  3. Set your scan preferences like file type, resolution, etc.
  4. Click "Scan" and then save the document to your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
