1)  Scan to Computer

Scan to Computer is a feature of the full driver printer software.

If not done --

Install the full driver printer software 

Web Pack Installation - Web Page - Full Driver Printer Software

  HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 All-in-One Print EasyStart Printer Setup Software – Offline Use Only 

Download, Save, and Install.

After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in

Open the Printer Assistant shortcut on your Desktop

Tab Scan 

Select "Manage Scan to Computer"

Enable the feature

2) HP Smart - Scan and Save

HP Smart can scan to PDF or Photo / Image files, optionally edit / adjust scanned content, then (finish with) Print, Save / Share, (run) Shortcuts (you have created), or Fax the content. 

Save supports selecting a folder of your choice - For example, a local folder in your account, perhaps a folder in OneDrive, or even a folder in a mapped storage location.

            What about HP Scan?

Once installed, the full driver printer software will have added one of two "container" shortcuts on the Desktop:

• Printer Assistant - named for the printer model

OR

On newer printers and when the new full driver printer software no longer supports the Printer Assistant:

• Scan Assistant - named for itself

Next,

The full driver printer software, once installed, will have added a shortcut icon for HP Scan. 

The shortcut for HP Scan that is part of the full driver might be named for the printer model.
