Hi SamS1, you obviously did not read my email correctly.

 

(a) installation of the Windows 10 Anniversary edition made it possible for the scanner to work.

      The scanner function in HP Solutions is as good now as it was under Windows 7.

 

(b) HP have already provided a Full Function driver for windows 10, that is what I uninstalled and reinstalled after running the HP clean up L4 level software.
