H.P. PRINTER ENVY PHOTO 6220
Have had many issues with this printer from go unfortunately.
When I print direct from computer, it sends to the printer ok.
When I print without connection, all ok.
BUT when I try to scan, I get an error message oxoo828c98 nhilwatchdog computer not listed.
I unplug the printer, plug it in and scan to my heart’s content.
Next day, I have the same issue.
Computer shows the printer is on the system
Web Services Status | Enabled |
Internet connection | Connected |
Printer connection to HP Connected | Connected |
It’s a good printer when it works, have another ink cartridge left and when its gone so is my envy, unless I can get some assistance please

I see that you have issues while scanning. To assist you better, are you trying to scan from the printer screen?
Have you tried scanning from the computer screen using a scanning application like the HP Smart app?
Where do you get the error? is it on the printer screen or the computer screen?
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue
Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix scanning'.
If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.
Download and use the HP Scan and Capture app to scan and check if this helps.

Choose your product
Shows three printers
1 HP ENVY Photo 6200 series USB installed with a tick
2 HP Envy Photo 6200 series PCL-3 installed with a tick
3 HP 14040D (HP Envy Photo 6200 series) installed with a tick
[fe80::b6b6:86ff:fe14:40d] This one looks like my printer the other two generic ones shown

Hi, Thankyou for your assistance, I was testing out the printer and the results are that I can get it to scan ONLY after it failing to do so, me unplugging it and re- plugging into power. Its not the best but I have tried everything. Again I thankyou and others for you help, Kind regards
