Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

Having a bit of a problem when trying to scan to computer from HP8024 all in one.

If I select scan to email - from either ADF or flatbed - the doc goes through on email fine.

If I use the software on the PC then I can scan using either the ADF or flatbed without problem.

I can scan to computer from glass flatbed and everything works as it should - document is saved in the correct folder etc.

Select scan to computer from ADF however and everything goes through the motions correctly (doc feeds through), printer says the doc is saved to computer but no document ever appears on said computer.

Any Ideas?

Many thanks.

Welcome to the HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Make sure scan to a computer feature is turned on:

1. Open the HP printer software. For more information,

2. Click Print, Scan & Fax , and then click Scan.

3. Select Manage Scan to Computer.

4. Click Enable.

Update the printer firmware

I hope that helps.
