I have found that the max reolution for scan with the ADF for the 8720 model is 300dpi.
The question is if this limitation is also on the 8730/40 models?

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
This post will explain the limitation.
Also, this resource will show ou how to set to high resolution :
Create a scan shortcut and high resolution scans (HP Officejet Pro 8700 AiO series)
Hope that helps!

Hi,
Thank you for your response, both your first link and especial the video shows that there is a limitation on the 8730 printer of 300dpi with the ADF 😞
(On can have higher resolution, but then you have to use the glass and not the ADF)
I (actually, my wife) need to automatic scan papers to PDF with 600dpi 🙂
So a follow up question; What HP MFP model (ink based) support 600dpi with the ADF?

Hi,
Per our understanding, the implementation is across all the inkjet printers.
Can't speak for Laserjets and Scanjets since that is not our area of expertise.
Personally, 300 DPI for documents is more than sufficient for most documents. (our opinion)
Thanks.
