Trying to use my HP Smart app on MacOS to scan. Worked a few days ago, however today, it says Unable to scan.
Going into the advance settings, it says under Scan, Webscan is disabled. You cannot use this function because it has been disabled. zContact person who set up the printer.
I read on these forums you have to go to an administrative page, however that is not visible on my end. how do I fix/enable this feature?

In the embedded web server you need to go settings>security>administrator settings and turn on webscan
I am a volunteer, offering my knowledge to support fellow users, I do not work for HP nor speak for HP.

Using iMac / MacOS 10.15.6 and HP Smart Tank Plus 570 with the latest firmware installed.
The "Turn on webscan" was a good tip... but it didn't work for me even after I checked the box in the Admin settings as explained in your post. I "applied" the change...but it did not change the status of my printer as far as scanning to my Mac from the printer's panel : I still get the message " ! Computer cannot be found please use the HP software on your computer to configure this function".
I restarted both the printer and the Mac which didn't help. I can command the scans from my Mac just fine using various app including HP Smart. The "Web services" window from HP Smart is also fine under "Scan" and let's me change some settings and even launch a scan (which is a change/improvement from before checking the webscan box).

Any suggestions ?
