I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro M277 PCL6 and I can not get the scan to email configured correctly. I have tried using the information that was provided on the HP Community but it is not working. I am assuming the email address is my personal email address, and is the same as the email login authentication information. I think it has to do with the SMTP server information. Where do I find that information? I tried using the web connected website information but that is not working either.

Hi,
The server information is different for any email provider.
Please let me know your email server, be sure not to post your full email publicly (e.g. @gmail.com)

Hi,
For Gmail, please use smtp.gmail.com with port 465 (SSL/TLS Checked)
Use your full Gmail address with your Gmail password.
If you experience any error, please let me know what exact error returns when clicking search

I received an error back saying my username or password was incorrect. Then I received an email from Google saying that my login was blocked because of it being a non-Google app. When I investigated further, it said that it is because the hp app does not meet their security standards, and is subject to hacking. Trying to figure out how to allow it through enabling two-factor authentication was very complicated and I could not figure it out.

You should either disable two-steps and enable "Allow Less Secure Apps",
Or you may enable 2-Step verification, then create an app specific password and use the created password for the printer instead of the standard password
