Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I got a HO Scan Upgrade notification. Saying that "New HP Scan version 63.6.6364 for your device is now available. Would you like to download now? Current HP Scan version 51.9.5975.23220

I select Download and go through the steps to upgrade the driver. After the update is installed, I scan a document, and I get the same prompt with every item I scan. So, if I'm scanning 25 pages, I get 25 prompts.

I have installed this multiple times. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the printer. I have restarted my computer after the install, and nothing works. Is there some bug?

Hi @BSM25,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you are repeatedly receiving the HP Scan upgrade notification, despite attempting to update, here are some steps you can take to solve this issue:

  1. Check for Successful Installation:
    • Ensure that the update process has completed successfully without errors. Sometimes an incomplete installation may cause repeated prompts.

  2. Restart Your Computer:
    • After installing the update, restart your computer to ensure all changes take effect and any temporary files are cleared.

  3. Clear Temporary Files:
    • Delete temporary files on your computer that might be causing the update loop. This can be done via the Disk Cleanup utility on Windows.

  4. Check Software Version:
    • Verify the current version of your HP Scan software to ensure it reflects the updated version. You can do this through the application’s "About" section.

  5. Manual Update:
    • Visit the official HP Support website and download the latest version of the HP Scan software directly. Install it manually to ensure the latest version is applied.

  6. Uninstall Previous Versions:
    • Completely uninstall any previous versions of the HP Scan software before reinstalling the latest version. This can prevent conflicts between old and new files.

  7. Update Printer Drivers:
    • Ensure all printer drivers are up-to-date. Often, software updates require corresponding driver updates to function correctly.

  8. Check Notifications Settings:
    • Disable or manage software update notifications if prompted after each scan, and verify your notification settings in the HP Scan software.

  9. Consult HP Support:
    • If the problem persists after trying these steps, contact HP Support for further assistance. They can provide more detailed troubleshooting based on your specific situation.

Following these steps should help resolve the repetitive upgrade notification and ensure your scanning process is smooth.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
