Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have just replaced a dead 8610 with a new 6978.

There was a piece of software for the 8610 from HP to connect (wireless) to it from the desktop PC screen, that allowed you to check prtr status  and other functions, including perform scans back to the desktop, and select file formats (pdf, jpg, etc.) as well as provide file names, and also view scan results,view and repeat,  change resolutions, brightness, etc.

I got it (download) from HP, and set it up as an icon on my desktop - very handy. The shortcut was just labelled HP Officejet Pro 8610. 

I am trying to find a similar product for my new 6978.

 

Any help?

You have to install Software and Drivers for your new printer using the following package

 

        https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/OJ6970/OJ6970_Full_WebPack_40.12.1161.exe
