To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?
Scan the Document
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Place the document face-down on the scanner glass, then close the lid.
- From the home screen, select Scan or Scan Document.
- Adjust the scan settings as needed (resolution, color, file type such as PDF).
- Click or tap Scan to begin.
- For multiple pages:
- Select the + (Add) option
- Place the next page on the scanner
- Continue scanning
- Once complete, click Save to store the file.
Send the Scanned Document via Email
- Locate the saved file (typically in the Downloads folder or Files section on your device).
- Open your preferred email application (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.).
- Click on Compose New Email.
- Use the Attach file (paperclip icon) option to upload the scanned document.
- Enter the recipient's email address, add a subject, and click Send.
