I am getting a scan error message when trying to scan to email: "There was an internal processing error. Please retry or manually check the firmware updates." I have checked for updates and none are available. I've tried all troubleshooting suggested by HP and nothing resolves the issue.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting errors while doing a scan to email, I am glad to assist you.
If you have updated the firmware already, you might have to set up a scan to email again.
Follow the steps mentioned on page number 47 in this user guide to setup Scan to email:- Click here
