I'm scanning to email, but it is not in PDF format now. The attachment is no format (no extensions). When I add .pdf when downloading, it works. However, it used to be scanned as PDF format. How can I scan as PDF format?

It says this feature is locked on the printer.
On the same page, go to Settings > Within the Administrator Settings option check the WebScan option, and apply the changes.
Now, check under Scan. You may attach a screenshot in your next post too.
Let me know how this goes.

Hi @ai0212
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.
Are you using the scan to email feature on the printer?
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
- Type the IP address at the top of your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- If you get any security notification, click on show details/advanced and 'proceed to this website'.
- Go to Scan > Scan to email > Change the settings under 'save as' to PDF.
- Try scanning.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
