I can’t get anyone to understand my issue. The SCAN option is not showing in the app. Only scan from camera. It’s been there before as I have scanned many multi page docs using batch. But I do t see it anymore. I even deleted and reloaded the app.

Hi @Litlfrogy,

In the new HP app, the Scan tile only shows the printer's scanner when the app sees the printer as connected; otherwise you only get "camera" scan.

Option 1 – Re-add the printer

  1. In the HP app, open the printer and remove/hide it from the home screen.
  2. Restart your phone/PC and the printer.
  3. Open the app > + (Add printer), select your printer and wait until it shows "Ready". Then the Scan > Scanner option should appear.

Option 2 – Update and check access

  1. Update the HP app from your app store, and allow Local Network and Bluetooth access for it in your phone settings.
  2. Make sure the printer and phone are on the same Wi-Fi.

If it still doesn't show, tell me your printer model and whether you use a phone or computer, so I can give you a direct alternative.
