Hi, I have a Color Laserjet Pro M479f. When I scan a A4 paper, I always get a 1cm wide faded strip all the way down the page.... I have cleaned the glass, all the LEDs are working, re-installed all the software etc? Any ideas..... thank you

Scan an A4 with images at 300dpi.

Upload here, click on the icon "Insert photos", "Set format = Large", original size at least 200 KB.
Bitte ohne persönliche Daten und ohne Seriennummer auf dem Ausdruck.

Then I can better judge where exactly the problem is.

 

Questions:

  1. is the "HP Scan" app being used?
  2. Is the ADF or the scanner glass being used?
  3. What is the exact printer name?

Hello,
1. yes I use the HP scan app
2. Scanner glass
3. HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw

Use the On/Off switch to shut down the printer.
Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.
Turn on the printer and wait until the printer has finished its Init phase.
Now scan this image again! But with the scanner lid open (AFD) and watch the scanner lamp.
Does it glow continuously with the same brightness?

Did exactly as you said in your message.

The LED strip has the same brightness across it. The printer is only 2 months old 😫

I think there is a hardware problem here.
Since the printer is still under warranty, you should now open this link. Please contact HP support team in your region for help.
