Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Color Laserjet MFP479fdn
macOS 12.0 Monterey

I've reviewed past discussions, but none address this specific problem.

I'm working with a network-connected MFP479fdn. When I'm using Scan to Email (PDF output) to scan from the top glass pane, there is no option to scan more than one page. I'm scanning a section of a book, so the automatic feeder is not an option. I've gone through all settings multiple times, but there's no option to enable this, and the scanning UI just gives me the Send button or the Refresh Preview command (this will replace the first scanned page).

Weirdly, our previous HP MFP could do this just fine – I would simply tap scan again and a page would be added to the PDF. Only once all the pages were done, I would hit Send to actually send the email. Now that we've 'upgraded' to the MFP479, I would need to send every single page as a separate email.

Network drives are not configured here and scanning to a computer is a no-go, since I'm on a Mac.

Is there really no way to accomplish such a basic task?

Hi @juraj84

Please try these steps:

In order to use this feature, the printer must be connected to a network and the Scan to Email feature must be configured by using the Scan to Email Setup Wizard (Windows) or the HP Embedded Web Server.

1. Load the document on the scanner glass or into the document feeder according to the indicators on the printer.

2. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Scan icon, and then touch E-mail.

3. If prompted, enter your login information in the Sign In screen. This will set the From (or sender) address to the email address associated with your login.

4. Enter the email recipient or recipients:

● Touch Enter email address to enter an email address using the keypad. Touch Done.

● Touch the Address Book icon to select an individual or group contact in an address book.

a. Select the Address Book you want to use from the list, and enter the password if required.

b. Select the individual or group contacts you want to send to.

c. Touch Continue.

5. Touch Subject to add a subject line.

6. If you want to preview the scan or change the scan options, do the following:

● To preview the scan, touch the Preview icon or Touch to Preview (the scan preview option varies depending on the printer model).

● For additional scan options, touch the Settings icon . 7. Touch Send or Start Scan .
