Are you scanning from the flatbed glass or the ADF? How are you scanning? Desktop app or HP Smart?

Ok from the ADF, but I still need to know what program you are scanning with, is it HP smart or the HP Scan program.

This is where the setting is on my version of desktop scan. This is modifying the default so once you save it as disabled it should always add all documents to one file.

My software doesn't have the same settings as yours. When I click: "More", and then Document, all I have is Adjust documents, Erase edges, and Cleanup background. I checked the other tabs and there is nothing that says Separate documents.
How come?

Is there a way for me to attach a screenshot to this? I replied from my cell phone but decided to reply from my PC hoping I could provide a screenshot of my settings screen, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do it.

When you opened up your desktop app and clicked on Scan, did you choose "Scan a Document or Photo" or "Scan to Network Folder Wizard"?
I always choose the first one. But, as a test to see if those additional settings appeared, I chose the other one and after a few minutes got this popup error "HP Scan to Network Folder has been locked. For more information, contact your network administrator or the person who set up the printer.". Why would I get that? This is my printer in my house??
