We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I use to scan from the hp app but now the scan screen does not function except for the "source" button,  then the screen seems to be frozen.  Settings, start buttons do nothing when touched.  I've Uninstaller and reinstalled several times.

I understand you are unable to scan from Android.

 

Try the below suggestions -

 

Update the printer firmware

Here are the steps:- Click here

 

Update your phone Android OS.

  1. Make sure your device is connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select About Phone.
  4. Tap Check for Updates. If an update is available, an Update button will appear. Tap it.
  5. Install. Depending on the OS, you'll see Install Now, Reboot and install, or Install System Software. Tap it.

Uninstall and reinsall the app and try scanning.

 

If the issue persists , Use the Mopria Scan app to scan documents or photos from your HP printer to your Android device.

 

  • Check the requirements to scan with the Mopria Scan app.
  • The printer is connected to your network or a Wi-Fi Direct connection.
  • For a Wi-Fi connection, the printer and Android device are within 6 feet of the access point (router).
  • For a network connection, your device is connected to the same network as your printer.
  • Go to Google Play - Mopria Scan to install the app. If prompted to allow the app to access photos, media, and files on your device, select Allow.
  • In the Mopria Scan app, tap your scanner under Discovered scanner.
  • Place the original on the printer scanner glass or into the automatic document feeder (ADF).
  • Change any desired scan settings, and then tap Scan.
  • Follow the prompts to complete scanning the document.
