HP Recommended

I am using Window 7 software.

Just purchased a officejet pro 8610.

Is there a way to set the default scan resolution to 300 dpi or 600 dpi instead of 200 dpi. ?

Second question: Is there a way to reduce the print copy ?

I was able to reduce on my old printer but this printer has different icon in print page.

Hi,

Thanks for using the forum.

Set the default scan resolution to 300 dpi or 600 dpi instead of 200 dpi.

Yes you can set the default scan resolution to 300 dpi.

You can actually "Create New Shortcut" if you use it regularly.

See the Picture examples

Create a Scan resolution shortcut.jpg

1. Select "Save as JPEG"

2. Select the resolution (drop down tab beside the Red dot)

3. Create New Shortcut (remember to save!)

The printer documentation for the Officejet Pro 8620 says that the scanning resolution is up to 1200 dpi. Why can I only set the scanning to 300? What do I need to do to set it at, say, 800 dpi color?

Hi @KeithCaserta

Please follow the example below to get the 1200 dpi scan.

Note that it will take a long time and the saved file will be very big.

Thanks.
