Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Deskjet F4280
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I am trying to scan in a sinle very old (1951) school photograph.  I am using HP Solution Centre. I am splitting the photograph in to 6 sections sections as it is a panoramic picture of the whole school year.  When i try to scan just a single section of the photo at highest resolution (want to enlarge it later), i get the "image will exceed the maximum supported size (approx 2GB)".

Is this a TWAIN driver issue as i read that 64bit TWAIN has no size limit? I'm running Win 10 64bit.

I tried updating HP drivers but no joy there.

I do not want to compromise on the quality as the picture is of my late father.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Dean

Opinion

Scanning a 1951 school photo at a very high PPI might not genuinely increase the quality of an old photograph of the era.

Suggestion - Ignore if unwanted / not useful in your context....

Try something less, say 1200 or even 600 PPI.

HP Scan is part of the Full Feature Software.

When available for the printer / software,

HP Scan and HP Twain are very similar.

If you don't have HP Twain, use HP Scan.

Thanks for your speedy help, much appreciated.

I resolved the problem by breaking the picture down in to smaller sections per scan.  It must be the physical memory limit metioned in the spec., although i have 8Gb.

Thanks
