Using Easy Scan to scan photos from the glass, having all kinds of problems:  When choosing "Crop To:  Item Bounds", it will give  me a white/blank scan or it will split the scan into two images with ~2/3 of the image top in one portion and 1/3 of the image bottom in another portion.  I discovered at one point that it would let me get a scanned image that was not completely white if I chose the 4X6 crop option, even tho I have a 3X5 photo, but it was the only way to get a scan.  And, it would only let me use the "Crop To:  Item Bounds" choice if I was scanning at either 600ppi or 1200ppi; at 200ppi or 300ppi it would give me completely white scans, no image or color from the photo whatsoever.  Now, it won't let me use "Crop To:  Item Bounds at all, otherwise it will split the scanned image into two or even three parts, instead of just one photo image.  Very frustrating.  I have already updated the HP software and firmware.  It told me after the main update that the firmware update was not needed; I guess the firmware must have been in the main software update?  Using MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6 on my HP OfficeJet Pro 8630, and using the Easy Scan software menu on my iMac to set up the scans.  Earlier I had tried scanning from the printer screen but got all white scans, so not going to mess with that, I like the Easy Scan setup when it works, but now it is so buggy, everything taking 10X longer than it needs to.

FYI, a second time I went to the HP website to download and install the latest firmware update for my Officejet Pro model, but the  HP website sent up a message box  saying my firmware was already up to date and I would not need that update.

FYI, I already did a series of hard re-sets as recommended by some for the all-white photo scans or blank photo scans.  I have no option to plug directly into the wall, but after the re-sets and installing the new software, I was at least able to get decent photo scans as long as I did not choose "Crop To:  Item Bounds", but chose 4X6 instead.

FYI, the splitting up of the images is a new thing that occurred after all of the re-sets and after installing the HP software updates.
