HP Envy 4520
macOS 10.12 Sierra

I want to scan but am consently told to "enable scan to computer" in the printer settings. I go to settings, click the 'Scan to Computer' menu to be told:

"The HP software required for Scan to Computer could not be located on this computer. Please download and install the latest HP recommended software for your device from http://www.hp.com/support, and then try again."

Only, I've done this already! I need answers.

I read your post and wanted to comment. I have checked the drivers on hp.com for your printer model to find out there are no full feature drivers released for Sierra. From my own knowledge, full drivers would need to be installed in order to scan from the printer to the computer.

Perhaps the Apple link below can help. In the meantime, I am unsure as to if or when full drivers will be released for 10.12. You will not be able to scan using HP software, so you can try methods on your Mac such as Apple Preview or Image Capture.

Check for drivers here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Hit the "Accept as Solution" if we've reached a solution, and the "thumbs up" to say thanks for my help.
