Product: OfficeJet 9014

Just purchased the officejet 9014 (the 6950 was abysmal!). On the scanner, there is the 'scan to computer', but my wife's Mac and my HP laptop are not options. 

The printer states to go to the HP software and select "Print, Scan, & Fax" > Scan Actions > Manage Scan to Computer.

I know exactly what it is referencing, challenge is, it looks like the software has been updated, that is no longer an option. If I go to the 'scan' software, it drives the scanning from my laptop. I really want to be able to click the 'scan to computer' from the printer and have it go to the laptop.

Please ensure your printer has the latest Firmware before we proceed

Next print a Network configuration Page to obtain the IP address

 

Open a Web browser on your computer, and in the address line, type the printer's IP address, and then press Enter on the keyboard. Click on the Scan Tab and ensure Scan to computer is turned ON
