Hi every one,

 

I want to know how to change the "Scan to->computer" menu?

For my old computer I can choose on the screen of the printer : SCAN/Computer/Name of the Computer/Scan shortcut : Save as PDF.

But now, I've got an other computer. My new computer appears on the screen but to scan for an email, printing, OCR or for a fax but  not PDF.

 

If I choose "Computer not listed", It says " To scan to a computer, make sure that the scanning software has been installed and configured on your computer.

Open the printer software, select SCANNER ACTIONS and then select MANAGE SCAN TO COMPUTER"

 

But I don't have that "SCANNER ACTION".

 

Does anyone knows how to change this menu please?

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'd like to know the following-

  • What is the Operating System installed on the computer?
  • How is the printer connected to the computer?

Meanwhile, Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
