We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Envy 7645
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printer no longer sees my computer so when I touch Scan to Computer, it tells me it doesn't see any computers.  I can still print via network IP and the computer will scan to USB, but I can't seem to get it to see my computer.  Nothing has changed on my computer except for Windows 10 doing its automatic updates.

I have done the following to UNSUCCESSFULLY resolve this issue:

powered off/on the computer and the printer

uninstalled and reinstalled the software suite on the computer

removed and re-added the Web Services from the printer.

I can't seem to figure out why my HP Printers are the only ones that seem to continually have these problems.

@AdiosAmigos, thanks for your response and time.

Thanks for trying out the steps.

Please try the steps mentioned below.

1. Click on the printer Icon (on your desktop) and it will bring up the HP Printer Assistant.
2. Under the Scan menu, there is a “Manage Scan to Computer”, click on that.
3. Make sure that you “Enable” Scan to Computer. Also, make sure the tab “Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows” is checked if you want to make this feature permanent. (the following video will show you how)

If it's not working, would suggest that you Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software and then try to enable Scan to Computer again.

Find the link to install full feature driver using this link.

Let me know if this helps!

Have a wonderful day ahead! 🙂

Hi! @AdiosAmigos, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!

I understand you have the scan to computer issues with your printer.

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC or printer?

Please try the steps mentioned below.

Restarting the computer and printer can restore the lost scan connection.
Turn off the printer.
Make sure the printer power cord connects directly to an electrical outlet and not through a surge protector or power strip.
Close all running programs on your computer, and then shut down the computer.
Turn on the printer.
Turn on the computer.
Search Windows for your printer model name, and then click the printer name in the list of results.
If HP Printer Assistant opens, click Scan a Document or Photo or Manage Scan to Computer, and then make sure the check box is selected next to Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log onto Windows.
If HP Solution Center opens, click Scan Settings to view scan connection status, settings, and preferences.
If your printer name is not in the results, skip to the step to install the HP software for your printer.
Try to scan.

Refer this article to further troubleshoot Network Scanner Connection Errors with the printer.

Also, download and install HP print and scan doctor on your PC.

Refer this article to know how to use HP print and scan doctor.

Let me know if this works!

Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂

I tried each of the suggestions and none of it worked.  The printer is still not seeing the computers.

The only thing I did do in the past month was change from a Linksys 10/100 switch to a Linksys 100/1000 switch.  Same IP addresses, SAME everyting except the hardware.

I reverted back to the old switch and the problem still exists.  The printer won't actually see the computer to SCAN TO COMPUTER.

I can print to it (through the network) no problem, but it can't see the computer in reverse.

So I clicked on the desktop icon, and I get the attached picture!

undefined

I still can't connect to the printer, but I can print to it.  It can see the printer when I try to set it up, but it gets a connection error and won't connect to it.  I've tried wired and wireless... neither works.

Ok, so I got it to work.

I uninstalled any trace of the device driver as well as the HP software package. I rebooted, then installed your software via the link you gave me.

I rebooted again, and then it worked.  I am able to scan to the computer again.  This time, when I installed, it was able to connect to the printer in the setup portion of the application installation.  After that, everying worked.
