Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

macOS 12.0 Monterey

MacOS 13.1 (Ventura) M1 MacBookPro

The New HP Smart App stupidly says that Scan to Computer is disabled and has not option to enable it. I found an Oct 2020 HP Utility.app (that Spotlight oddly does not index) with a handy Alias for it in the Applications folder. That app allowed me to reenable Scan to Computer.

Two other items of interest: (1) Neither app supports Apple Silicon. Apple will eventual stop supporting Intel based software (as they ultimately stopped supporting PowerPC software when the switched to Intel). Presumably HP will have compatible drivers by then, but whether settings software gets updated is a question.

(2) I don't see that HP Smart App has any utility at all. It's an over featured app that nevertheless is unable to fully configure a common HP printer/scanner. I'll probably get around to uninstalling it, but I'm open to any feedback indicating that I've overlooked something useful in this app that is pretty but impotent.
