Product: Officejet PRO 8600
Operating System: macOS 10.15 Catalina

My scan to email function disappeared months ago, but I was able to scan documents (as PDF) directly to my MAC.  Now that is not longer working.  I am running Catalina 10.15

 

When I attempt to scan a document (Scan to Computer) I get the message: computer not found.

 

Nothing has changed with my wireless settings, and the printer prints documents from my MAC wirelessly.

 

Any suggestions???

Hi,

Please follow below version of HP Easy Start, as soon as it launches open the top HP Easy Start menu and select Uninstall HP Software.

Follow the steps on screen and then click on Set Up New Device and follow the steps to reinstall the printer:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

 

As soon as HP Easy start prompts to install HP Smart, close HP Easy Start and press the Skip to Software Download button, then follow the steps on screen to complete the installation and check for any difference.

clicked on the link and launched HP Easy Start, but software is still loading and looks like it will fail. Are you sure the HP Easy Start is written for MAC OS?

I have it installing now.  But you suggest to uninstall printer first
