Hi,
I have seen some posts here about it, but maybe I miss something. I had an old HP printer OfficeJet 3830, very simple one but did the job.
I have replaced it - after few years - with e newer model OfficeJet Pro 9022. I do not get the point of removing most useful features such as Scan to Computer.
I have my OS up to date, HP softwares (HP Utility and HP Smart) and the firmware of my printer.
My issue is that when I want to do Scan to Computer the panel on a printer sends me to HP Utility, which does not recognize/support the new printer.
Anyone has found a solution ?
Regarding setting up as a network folder this is not the best option but I would appreciate any help regarding the file path when setting it up.
I know how to locate my IP address I know it should start by \\1.1.1.\
This is after that am not sure
Many thanks for your help and your time
MacOS 10.15.4 // HP Utility 5.42.1 // HP Smart 4.6.1 //

Hi @DANI0388
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you
Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.
You can create a smart task from your HP Smart app and sync it to your printer front panel
Refer to the document -HP Smart: Use Smart Tasks
follow the steps sync the smart tasks.
Make sure your printer meets the following requirements for syncing or running Smart Tasks:
-
Your printer is an HP OfficeJet Pro 9010, 9012, 9015, 9018, 9019, 9020, 9025, and Premier All-in-One printer with firmware version 1905A or later. To update the firmware from the control panel, touch the Setup icon
. Select Printer Maintenance, and then select Update the printer. -
Web Services is turned on.
-
An HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 or 9020 printer is selected in the HP Smart app and Sync my Smart Tasks to my printer is turned on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi Jay_G24
Thanks for you reply.
However, I don't see how it answers my question. Scan to Compute has nothing to do with Smart Tasks. This is one of the most basic features, so maybe your answer was intended for another posts
