Unable to set up the 'Scan to Dopbox' app on my MFD 6970. I enter the address and password - and then receive a one time code from Dropbox on my mobile - but the printer says it cannot connect to web services, so I cannot enter the code. Yet the desktop software says that i have Web Services enabled and connected.
Any ideas please?

Hello, @JeffGB1 – Greetings!
Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums! I’d like to help with the scan to Dropbox query 🙂
Going through your post, I see that you are unable to scan to the drop box even though the web-services are enabled. You can try the steps listed below to assign a manual DNS to try and fix the issue:
- Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to get the IP address.
- Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
- Go to "Network" tab - General - Select "Network protocols" - Select "Enable IPv4 only" (or similar) - Apply the settings.
- Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
- Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
- Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
- Restart the printer and then router once done and check.
Also, check this forum thread with similar issues: Which cloud services are supported by HP scan to cloud?
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂

I get as far as being texted a verification code, but the printer says it can’t connect to Web Services. I've tried all the steps detailed here, up to and including updating the printer firmware, and I tried the steps that Dvortex suggested, but no dice.
Other Web Services apps, like Scan to Email, appear to work fine. I'm wondering if HP never updated their Dropbox app to use version 2 of the Dropbox API; version 1 was deprecated at the end of September.

I had the same exact issue, so I jumped through the hoops above to talk to tech support. Tech support says that the Dropbox app doesn't appear to be supported.
I think Clocktower1 is on the right track there, the app was never updated.
Tech support suggested I just scan directly to my Dropbox folder on my PC. Separately, I found that Dropbox on my phone could already print to the 6970.
