Product: HP LaserJet Enterprise MFP M527
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Our scanner printer is able to send scans to email.  However the address book is very slow to populate (both "Local Contacts" and "All Contacts").  Usually after 2 minutes or so it will show an error message saying that there was an LDAP timeout.  Sometimes it will populate the contacts list, mostly it won't.

 

Other systems are not having LDAP request issues.  The OU that the scanner is querying has over 500 user accounts.

 

Any ideas?

Is this scanner overloaded with the amount of user accounts being given to it?

If I update the firmware then will we have to re-input settings?

HP Recommended

Unchecking "Enable Network Contacts (use LDAP server)" prevents the LDAP timeout from occuring for local contacts.
