All of a sudden, when using "scan to email " through the touchscreen, I get the error message:
"Username or password is incorrect. Make sure both user account and password are valid."
My settings on the Embedded Web Server "Outgoing Email Profiles" are:
SMTP Server: smtp.**bleep**.com
SMTP Port: 465
SMTP User ID: my **bleep** address
SMTP Password: my app specific password from Google
I have 2FA enabled on my Google account.
I've had this setup working for years, and it suddenly stopped working this week.
Would appreciate any advice, thank you.

Please completely delete the profile and then create a new one with below settings:
SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
(smtp.g-mail.com without the hyphen)
Port: 465/587
SSL/TLS: Checked
Authentication option checked
user should be your full G-mail email address.
And for the password create and use an additional app password, double-click the shown password and copy it.
Now press Save and Test and please let me know the results, if it fails be sure to try both SMTP port options.

Hi,
A such may occur due to your Google account security settings.
First, open the following link and login to the same account as you set for the printer.
https://myaccount.google.com/security
Within the Signing in to Google section, be sure to turn on "2-Step Verification":
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DAndroid
Next, create and use an App-Specific Password with the printer:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en
Once completing the changes update the outgoing email profile password to use the App Password and then click Save and Test to ensure the problem has been resolved.

Shlomi

As mentioned in my original post, I already have 2 factor authentication enabled, and input my Google app-specific password .
However I still get the error message:
"Incorrect credentials
Click "OK" to go back."
