We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

When I use the Scan to Email shortcut with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e, I get the following error: "Network connection error. Check the network and try again." What is causing this error?

 

1. I rebooted (unplugged my router and my HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e for about 60 seconds or more)

2. I can still print via WiFi (So, WiFi is still connected and working)

3. I can scan to my cell, then send an email (BUT too many extra steps)

4. My device and printer are on the same Wi‑Fi network

5.  Printer firmware is up to date

The printer must be connected to the Internet via Web Services.

In general, Web Services is defaulted to "ON" -- worth a quick check.

Perhaps recheck your Email Servers configuration --

Almost all Email providers require you use 2FA (2-step verification) and an App Password for all machine to machine services.  

 

The error when the App Password fails is generally different from the message you are seeing -- That said, it might be worth resetting the 2FA configuration and then creating a new App Password setup in your Email security.  Make a note of the (new) App Password. 

 

Next,

Re-run the setup for your Quick Set used for Scan to Email.

This would be the time to enter / replace the old App Password with your new App Password.
