After years of working, all of the sudden, when I try to scan to email from an HPPageWide Pro MFP 577dw , it comes up with an error and states there are "incorrect credentials" or "username and password are incorrect."  I have not changed my **bleep** password (which is the server we use for our work email). Nothing else has changed. All other users are having the same issue and no one changed their email.

On another note, I got an alert on my **bleep** (for the first time ever, having used this for 3 years) that stated an App was trying to use my email to send.

Is this a new Google security issue, in that they've blocked HP from being able to scan to email?  Or is there another way to solve this?

Hello,

Hope you are well, it is recommended to grab the IP address of the printer and type it into a web browser URL bar, hit enter and that may take you to the Embedded web server of the printer, go to scan > scan to email > scan to email set up >  scroll down to the Outgoing email profiles > select the profile with the issue, click edit > check for the display name and correct email address, Pin is not required keep it blank > Next > Make sure SMTP address and port number is correct, for example **bleep** server is smtp.**bleep**.com / 587 , after that comes the credentials, Select Server requires authentication, username is equal to the email address and password is the one used to log in into that inbox or email.

If its **bleep**, AOL, Yahoo or other popular public server email account, please make sure the Less secure app access is enabled as the security has improved and this check may block the printer. In case you have Two Step verification, please generate an App Password and use it into the Password of the printer authentication.

Regards,
