Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'm using HP Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw but "Scan to FTP(PC)" function is not availalbe. 

According to product spec https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05689030

"Scan to FTP(PC)" is available, please clarify.

I see what you are facing. Have you tried putting in the FTP address as the scan location: IE FTP://sdfsd/dfd

Assuming of course that you have an FTP server configured properly on your workstation. 

 

If that does not work, it might have been a typo on the data sheet. Is there a reason you do not want to use standard scan to folder to save your scans? The user guide makes no mention of FTP at all. Also ensure that your firmware is up to date as that feature may have been added afterwards.

1. it doesn't work by starting ftp://xxx

 

2. SMB sharing is not allowed in corporate environment. only FTP protocol available.

 

I hope HP validate the product spec and provide guideline to setup "Scan to FTP(PC)"
