Hello, anyone facing this issue again?
From the past post - i found numbers of users facing this issue on several others HP MFP models. However, none of them able to solve my issue.
Windows Firewall has been disable for testing purpose.
Created the Share Drive. Accessible from another PC within the same network
Printer Firmware: 20190716
Error message: Cannot write to the network folder.
The folder is read-only, has the wrong
permissions, or is no longer available.
Please help and advice. Thanks.

Hi @Kumar0307,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Yes, i tried to redo the sharing folders with several other settings but seems cant.
Then, I found the root cause on yesterday after troubleshooting. Found due to this Permission folder setting.
Sharing --> Advanced Sharing --> Permissions --> Tick on either Change or Full Control
(Refer screenshot below:)
The previous setting was just tick - Read-only.
After Tick - both Changes & Full Control, it is Works perfectly now!
The Network Path - I follow the Windows Share folder path (//hostname/foldername) instead of the sample shown (\\mypc\foldername).

Hi @CharlesNg
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you. Let us try these steps:
Please ensure that SMBv1 is enabled for your computer.
- Go to Control Panel > click on Program and Features.
- On the left hand pane select Turn windows features ON or OFF
- Locate SMB1.0/CIFS and ensure it is checked with all 3 options below checked.
- Confirm any change and restart your PC.
Now try to set up scan to network folder.
Watch this video for more info or refer to this document.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hi @kumar0307,
Thanks for your guide and advice.
However, this seems to not work too. Indeed, earlier this "SMB" function was disable. I had it enable and restarted my laptop.
I tried with the said shared folder permission (Read Permission - Disable) and as well as, full permission for the said user.
Same result too.
For your information, i tried it with Windows Firewall and Sophos Endpoint Protection off as well.
Please advice.
Thanks.
Regards,
Charles Ng
