Laserjet 700 MPF M775
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to setup Scan To Folder option for Laserjet 700 MPF M775

i have created a shared folder on Windows PC desktop with Read/Write properties

From the HP web interface, under Scan,Digital Send - Save to Network Folder - Quick Sets, I have added the path to the shared folder on the Windows PC desktop. Also ticked Enable Save To Network Folder.

When I select Apply, I receive message “The following conflicts were found — A save to network folder quick set requires user credentials for write access. Control panel access to Save To Network Folder should require a network sign-in method”

please could you advise how to set up the Save To Network Folder option

You must save the credentials when you create the scan to folder by selecting "Always use these credentials"

If not on a domain use the workstation name as the domain name and a user and password that has access to that folder.

After I entered the shared folder path, I did select the Done tab at the bottom of the page (think it was Done or Finish or something to that effect)

This resulted in message “The operation completed successfully”

It was only after the Apply option was selected that the error message was returned

I am not sure I am following everything you have done. If you are being told that scan to folder requires a sign in method might mean that you have turned off guest access to scan to folder. In the printer EWS go to security>access control and make sure that guest access is enabled, otherwise your users will need to login to the machine with a user name and password before they can access any scan to folder options.

Thanks for the info.

i believe that the “sign in” required is User and Password  for the Shared Folder on the Windows 11 PC.

The problem is that the Windows system only has user Admin which does not require a password, so I don’t think I will be able to resolve  the Scan To Folder unless I change the Windows system login credentials.
