good morning today I configured the folders on the pcs to scan, it works for all printers except this one. The network and folder configurations are the same for all of them, yet on this printer it does not work and gives me as error The printer is unable to connect to the remote destination. Check your configurations and try again.
can anyone help me?

Here is a sample / example of Scan to Network Folder for an OfficeJet Pro 9025.
The Operating System references are from Windows 11.
Example - Scan to Network Folder - 2/23

thank you for your reply, I probably misunderstood before.
The scan folder works with the same folder for all printers except for the 8720.
The folder configuration is correct otherwise it would not go on the others, it is some printer setting that does not allow you to see the folder

You are welcome.
OK
Scan to Network is not listed as a Digital option for this printer in the documentation.
Datasheet - HP OfficeJet Pro 8720
| Digital Sending Standard Features | Scan-to E-mail; Fax Archive to E-mail |
What about the printer?
My first example includes the Embedded Web Server (EWS) option for a printer that supports Scan to Network.
Example - EWS - Scan to Network - Profile / Setup
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Scan > Scan to Network Folder > Network Folder Setup
If you are using a supported Operating System to configure the destination PC folders (terms used in Windows), that part of the setup is relatively the same on each computer.
The User Guide includes instructions on Pages 12-13
OK - You are saying the Scan to Network setup is supported on the printer?
The EWS instructions in the User Guide are essentially the same as those in my example with the exception that the user manual starts at the Home page of EWS before opening the Scan to Network section.
"it is some printer setting that does not allow you to see the folder "
Is there an Error message when you test the Profile - for example, Edit (run the configuration) or Test?

the printer supports the scan folder but cannot resolve the ip or host name, in fact it says the destination cannot be reached.
I solved by having the save point to the fileserver instead of the recipient's pc.
And I don't think it's a pc or network problem because all the other printers reach the pc correctly with both ip and host name.
For the time being I am content with this solution

Makes sense.
Thanks for letting us know.
If you decide to "go back" for another look, make sure that PC is using a manual / static IP address.
