Garp,

  None of the HP suggestions helped in any way.  All of the HP suggestions failed, wasting my time.  The only thing that worked was something HP told me not to do - use a third party driver.  The third party driver fixed the problem.  So I'm not about to click on anything of HP that indicates Accepted Solution.
