Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 7720 Wide Format All-in-One Printer

I have set up my HP OfficeJet Pro 7740. The scanner function works from my MAC using the HP Smart App. But, when I try to scan directly from my printer to Mac it comes up with an error message saying I cannot use this function because it has been disabled (through WebScan) - on the printer error says "To scan to a computer, make sure that the scanning software has been installed and configured on your computer". 

 

I have reinstalled the software and I am not sure what is going wrong. I want to be able to use the Printer to Computer option to scan.

 

MacOS Sonoma 14.4

 

Would appreciate any help.
