My scan to computer just quit working was fine yesterday.  When I try the Print & Scan it comes up with device status highlighted  how do I fix that

Encountering an unexpected issue with my scan-to-computer functionality, which was operational yesterday. When initiating Print & Scan, the device status is highlighted, impeding the scanning process. To troubleshoot, check network connectivity, restart both devices, and ensure scanning drivers are up to date. Inspect scanning settings, review error messages, and update scanning software. If issues persist, consider reaching out to the device manufacturer's support for further assistance.
